Radio ad spending and demographics move up

I found this interesting.

The 25 to 54 demo is now attracting 63% of all national radio ad dollars according to the Q3 report from Canadian Broadcast Sales (CBS). Fifty percent of the spending during that period was directed towards the general demo with the remaining dollars targeting women 25 to 54 (8.7%) and men 25 to 54 (4.7%).

Comments:
Hi Elaine. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Indeed, we may have crossed paths at HDI. I attended from around 1997 to 2001. We'd drive in from London for the chapter meetings. It was always a hoot to participate.

Then I went into Project Management, then left the insurance/IT world altogether to become a writer. It's been a lovely trip ever since.

Interesting stats. I'd be interested to see how they're trending over time. Is this demo growing in influence compared to past surveys?

I was a radio producer when I first graduated from j-school...this stuff fascinates me.
